The company published fourth quarter and full year 2018 financial highlights, according to which, the social network’s advertising revenue rose to $ 55 billion, while advertising revenue amounted to $ 39.9 billion the year before.
For the fourth quarter of 2018, revenue reached $ 16.6 billion, which is 30% more than in the same period in 2017.
Most of the revenue from social network advertising fell on the mobile. Mobile advertising revenue represented approximately 93% of advertising revenue for the fourth quarter of 2018, up from approximately 89% of advertising revenue in the fourth quarter of 2017.
The company’s net is $ 22.2 billion, up 39% from $ 15,9 billion. The quarterly figure is $ 6.9 billion ($ 4.3 billion was a year earlier).
Monthly active users number were 2.32 billion as of December 31, 2018, an increase of 9% year-over-year.
The report also notes that around 2.7 billion people now use Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Messenger each month.
